In April 2019, the company introduced three major updates for its users. Let us dive into them in detail. 

  1. LinkedIn Reactions

This job-seeking platform, has come up with Facebook-famed emoji ‘Reactions’, in order to become more interactive for users. LinkedIn has added colourful characters and gives you five options to react-

  • Like
  • Celebrate
  • Love
  • Insightful
  • Curious

Marketers can use this update to know what is liked and extra liked by the audience in terms of counting number of like and celebrated reactions. They can check if their post was found insightful by the audience. And likewise if the users are curious to know something more about the post made, they will react with curios emoji reactions. This way it becomes easy for the marketer to know what kind of posts are loved by the audience and plan the next post accordingly. 

  1. Document Upload Feature

LinkedIn has now expanded the document upload feature, where users can directly upload PPT, PPTX, DOC, DOCX, and PDF file types directly to their feeds and also within the group posts.

Using this feature marketer can showcase their services and talents as they can see the comments and reactions, and see if their post has the impact on their audience. This feature will help marketers to improve & also showcase their services and talents. 

  1. In-App Planner Feature

LinkedIn has added a new options to facilitate planning in person meet-ups from within the app, where otherwise you would have to switch through different app which is a painful task.

Scheduling can often be a pain. You generally have to switch back and forth between apps. But with LinkedIn’s new feature you just simply need to tap the calendar icon in the app and select the open time slots you’d like to propose to your connection. You can also send one time location when you want to set up real-time meetings at events. Thus for marketers, it becomes very easy to schedule meetings which otherwise a very tough task.
